Providence is calling a CT & Radiologic Technologist (Multi- Modality Technologist) to Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, Alaska. This is a full time position. .

In this position you will:
Provides a variety of diagnostic procedures in accordance with department, hospital, and National Standards.
Use of Caring Reliable tools : (Pay attention to detail, communicate clearly, have a questioning attitude, and operate as a team)
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
Critical thinking, decision-making skills as they relate to patient care, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Computer proficiency utilizing EPIC (EHR) and Synapse (PACS) systems to complete patient care, perform exams, complete documentation, and analyze images.
Ability to utilize media writer system.
Responsible for accurately completing daily records, quality assurance and quality improvement information necessary to meet accreditation standards.
Works on-call rotation to meet needs of department after regular business hours.
Regular, on time attendance is a requirement of this position.
Responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and basic troubleshooting of equipment. Optimizes equipment and supplies to maximize department operations, and minimize patient time.
Ensure all work areas and modalities are adequately stocked: supplies, linens, etc.
Complies with department and hospital safety standards. Practices body substance isolation and use of PPE. Completes education necessary to maintain licensure or certification required for job. Assists in the orientation and training of new employees. Applies radiation safety (ALARA).
Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other team members concerning patient status, diagnosis, tests, and results.
Implements high quality care that meets all patients’ needs regardless of age, sex, or gender.
Ability to lift and manipulate a minimum of 75 pounds.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of an American College of Radiology (ACR) approved training program for Radiologic Technologists
Registered by Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years clinical experience (including general, portable and trauma exams) as a radiologic technologist
1 year work experience in CT
Membership in a professional organization such as American Society of Radiologic Technologists
