Providence is calling a Clinical Support Project Manager (Hospital Administration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE - 40 hours per week) to Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center in Kodiak, Alaska. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Plans and coordinates multiple concurrent complex projects, including leading project teams and sponsor groups,
facilitating decision-making, options documents, business/ROI analyses, and serving as primary manager and delegater of work.
Creates and maintains required documentation, which may include project plans, communication plans, go-live plans and budget tracking spreadsheets.
Coordinates testing, training and implementation tasks as necessary for assigned projects.
Understands and sets expectations for project teams around key strategies articulated by the project framework.
Works closely with the senior leadership team and core leaders to identify and resolve barriers to project completion. Keeps the group apprised of project status and progress to objective and key milestones using standard project management tools.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with a broad customer base and gains their trust and respect.
Tracks and reports progress weekly to core leader and appropriate executive sponsor.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Information Services, Planning or a related discipline or equivalent educ/experience
1 year Managing multiple concurrent projects and contracts
1 year Leading collaborative, cross-functional teams
1 year Leading/facilitating all types of project meetings, including pre/post meeting activities
1 year Comprehensive and increasing level of complex implementation experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Demonstrated success in leading initiatives in a complex organization
About Kodiak Island Medical Center
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center (PKIMC) provides comprehensive health care to residents and visitors of Kodiak Island. This critical access hospital features 25 acute care beds, including four birthing suites, one OB triage room, and two ICU beds. In addition, the Elder House, PKIMC’s long term care facility, has 22 beds.
PKIMC provides an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency department, surgery, laboratory services, maternity, general medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, specialty clinics, diagnostic imaging services and pharmacy and is staffed by a mix of primary care physicians, surgeons and specialists who provide family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics, radiology and general practice.
