Providence Health & Services Speech Language Pathologist - Pediatrics in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Speech Language Pathologist in Pediatrics to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week day shift.
We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Communicate with team members and outside agencies to identify patient needs, changes, overall condition of patient, and determine future levels of care.
Document all aspects of care and outcomes in a manner that is clear to others, and meets service standards.
Delegate appropriate patient activities to co-workers and aides using professional criteria.
Assist in coordinating discharge plan with attention given to home programs, equipment arrangement, and patient/family education.
Contact vendors for durable medical equipment/augmentative communication needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
Current license to practice Speech Pathology in the State of Alaska
Experience and credentials in pediatrics
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in dysphagia
