Providence Health & Services Sonographer I - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Registered Sonographer I in Maternal Fetal Medicine, to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full time day shif.
In this position you will:
Perform sonographic examinations.
Obtain clinical history and perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
Provide a technical interpretation of sonographic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.
Be responsible for calibrating, maintaining and basic troubleshooting of sonographic equipment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of an AMA accredited ultrasound program (minimum 1 year in length) OR an Associate Degree in a related health care field with credentials from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Registry credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of the Abdominal specialty
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
2 years general sonography in abdomen, OB/GYN
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Registry credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with OB/Gyn specialty
First Trimester Screening experience
