Providence is calling a Radiology Technologist (Radiology, Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Perform a variety of technical Radiological procedures according to department, hospital and national standards. Administer barium products to patients for specific fluoroscopic exams
Responsible for accurately completing records, daily quality assurance and improvement information, and meeting regulatory standards
Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment. Optimize equipment and supplies to benefit department operations.
Stock work area daily. May be involved in ordering and stocking general supplies.
Comply with department and hospital radiation and safety standards: Practice Body Substance Isolation. Complete education necessary to maintain licensure or certification required for the position.
Communicate with physicians, nurses and other members of the team concerning patient status, diagnosis, samples for testing or related information. Operate multiple communication and telecommunications systems. Coordinate scheduling of diagnostic examinations within department and with referral entities. Communicate with team members by regular participation in staff meetings
Required qualifications for this position include:
Successful completion of an AMA approved training program for Radiologic Technology.
Successful completion of the mandatory fluoroscopy training (provided by PAMC or an approved program) within one month of hiring.
Must be ARRT registered or eligible.
If eligible, must obtain ARRT licensure within twelve months of hire date.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Current experience as a Radiologic Technologist
