Providence Program Manager Staffing Decision Support in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Program Manager Staffing Decision Support (Operational Excellence, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Health System Alaska in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with compassion and demonstrates dignity, justice, excellence and integrity in daily work and relationships.
Educate and coach core leaders on productivity and Action OI (or selected productivity system). Develop training and education program for core leaders on productivity and labor management.
Conduct operational assessments at the organization and unit level to optimize workload, optimize schedules, and to forecast demand.
Educate and coaches core leaders on productivity and Action OI (or selected productivity system). Educates management on productivity and benchmarking.
Ensure accuracy of labor reporting and productivity data.
Monitor appropriate indicators for maximum productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization in collaborative with system productivity resources.
Perform quantitative/qualitative techniques including financial analysis and decision support.
Support staffing budget development and maintenance.
Occasionally apply queuing theory and methods to service delivery decision making, including simulation modeling.
Establish and maintains effective relationships with a broad customer base and gains their trust and respect. Works closely with other stakeholders/ participants/partners to ensure all needs/issues are communicated. Escalates issues as needed for additional input and resolution.
Work closely with the Executive Team, Director of Operational Excellence, and Core Leaders to identify and resolve barriers to work completion. Keeps the group apprised of status and progress to objective and key milestones.
Collaborate within the Operational Excellence team and creates a positive work environment. Takes personal responsibility for proactively addressing concerns or issues within the OE team.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline such as: quantitative science, finance, industrial engineering, business or healthcare related field.
Three (3) years in the application of quantitative analysis techniques in an applied health care setting.
Related experience may include: healthcare operational/financial management, quality or process improvement, risk assessment, and project/standardization work at multiple facilities.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in related field.
Certification in general healthcare and management information systems, project management methods, or specific process improvement methodology.
