Providence Health & Services Laboratory Assistant II in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Laboratory Assistant II (Anatomic Pathology, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE, Full-Time) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
In this position, you will:
Under supervision provide efficient, accurate, and courteous service for PAMC physicians and employees.
Assist the laboratory department and various sections in ensuring order accuracy and specimen integrity, along with receipt of specimens.
Accurately enter data into hospital and laboratory computer systems related to patient billing and charting.
Measure, aliquot, and prepare specimens for testing.
Perform laboratory assistant duties in one or more of the following areas: sendouts, microbiology, and/or pathology.
Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of laboratory experience
Computer and customer service skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Additional education in science, medical coursework, or laboratory training
