Providence Health & Services House Supervisor - Nursing Resource Services in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a House Supervisor Nursing (Patient Care Resource Svcs, Night Shift, 0.90 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Work to assure appropriate placement of patients, monitors care provided on the nursing units and addresses concerns with the caregivers, charge nurses, supervisors and the unit/department management teams.
Work collaboratively with unit Charge Nurses to expedite patient movement through the facility ensuring the patient is in the correct bed assignment based on level of care needed as well as placed in a timely fashion
Provide consultation and direction for efficient operation and quality customer service.
Work collaboratively with caregivers and others to determine issues and corrective actions related to patient, family, provider or caregiver concerns.
Direct and collaborates with department/unit management team and charge nurses to help assure appropriate staffing and efficient use of resources.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing
Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Alaska
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card from American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
5 years of acute hospital experience as a staff nurse
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 2 year of nursing supervisory/charge nurse experience
