Providence Health & Services Food and Nutrition Assistant II - Room Service in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Food and Nutrition Assistant II (Room Service, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This is a full time, variable shift role in our Food and Nutrition Department.
In this position you will:
Deliver meals and nourishment to patients, while providing high quality customer service.
Follow correct delivery procedure for delivering trays within the Food and Nutrition Room Service program.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Provide high quality customer service.
Prepare, portion and deliver a variety of foods according to production and customer needs, some of which require short preparation.
Prioritize work assignments and stay organized.
Comply with HACCP guidelines and ensure proper washing and sanitizing of work areas and equipment.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Specific vocational training - training can be provided in a school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
6 months training or on the job training in quantity food preparation and basic principles of sanitation and safety in food handling
Ability to read, write, and speak English
