Providence Food and Nutrition Assistant II - Room Service in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Food and Nutrition Assistant II (Food And Nutrition, Variable , 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Prepare, portion, and deliver foods according to production and customer needs, adhering to regulatory guidelines
Wash, Rinse and Sanitize equipment and work areas as assigned following proper procedures
Ability to prioritize work assignments and stay organized
Multi-task and complete necessary projects within an allotted time frame.
Operate food service equipment safely and within OSHA guidelines
Follow correct delivery procedure for delivering trays within the Food and Nutrition Room Service program. Safeguard and maintain confidentiality of all patient, medical staff, employee and other information
Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Provide high quality customer service
Perform all duties in a manner which promote team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy
Complete initial and annual Competency Plan for assigned job and department
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Obtain Municipality Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Specific vocational training. This training can be provided in a school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
6 months training or on the job training in quantity food preparation and basic principles of sanitation and safety in food handling
