Providence Health & Services Director Financial Operations PSJH in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Director Financial Operations PSJH to our location in Anchorage, AK.
We are seeking a Director Financial Operations PSJH who will be responsible for overseeing the finance support functions that sustain the various ministries and organizations within a region. These include oversight of productivity and benchmarking, costing, analytics, support for monthly close process, pro forma developments of business opportunities, long range planning for the region, capital planning for the region, forecasting summarization for the region, operationonal budgeting summarization for the region as well as other reporting as requested by either regional or system leadership. The Director will oversee staffing assigned to such functions and will coordinate these activities with the finance leads and personnel embedded in service areas or ministries throughout the region. This role will be the primary contact with system financial planning and analytics staff for regional requests.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Carry out the mission, vision and values of PSJH.
Provide leadership to ensure various budgeting, reporting, and analytics needed for the region are done timely and efficiently to assure financial viability and support of operations.
Recommend financial policies and procedures as appropriate; Direct, monitor, coach and evaluate staff for provision of budgeting. long range planning, forecasting, costing, pro forma development, and analytics.
Prepare financial analyses and other business pland with help of staff.
Oversee the implementation and use of various reporting systems and the ERP.
Provide data to key people identified above in support of regional operations.
Provide information to various local, state and professional organizations as required and requested.
Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team work;Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement processes and procedures.
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff, management, physicians, and thepublic including making formal presentations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with healthcare teams.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities and projectssimultaneously.
Proficiency using PC with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
10 years supervision experience of finance staff
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Certified Public Accountant or HFMA and/or FACHE certifications.
