Providence Health & Services Assistant Clinical Manager RN - ICU in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling an Assistant Clinical Manager RN (ICU, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE to the Emergency Dept. at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Assist the Nurse Manager with staffing, scheduling, and patient care management
Develop staff through educational programs and mentoring to achieve specific clinical goals
Serve as representative on department committees, govern select unit committees, and participate in care conferences
Liaise with patients and families to ensure effective outcomes
Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and strong teaching and communication skills
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
3 years clinical experience.
2 years recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse experience
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
Certification within area of expertise or practice preferred (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Nursing (All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 30 months of hire.
