Providence Health & Services Administrative Assistant II - Mental Health Unit in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling an Administrative Assistant II (Mental Health 4w, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivery every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Act as the focal point for customer service. Greets visitors, answers telephones, refers calls, schedules/coordinates appointments and meetings Provide routine information on policies and procedures
Establish and maintain accurate electronic and manual filing systems for department records
Organize and expedite the flow of department communications. Prepare, transmit, and track routine correspondence. Review and respond to incoming communications. Screens, prioritizes, and perform follow up as required
Assist staff with department specific projects and reporting requirements Research, collect, assemble, and/or monitor data and statistics, as required Complete a variety of computer based tasks using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications
Order and maintain supplies and office equipment, as required. Generate requisition documentation and tracks order completion
Perform other related clerical tasks and special projects as assigned
Required qualifications for this position include:
- 4 years administrative or secretarial experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
In secretarial sciences and personal computers
1 year in a medical setting with experience in medical terminology
