Providence Health & Services Administrative Assistant II - Family Medicine Center in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Administrative Assistant II (AK Family Medicine Residency, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Physician Service Organization in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
Act as the focal point for customer service. Greets visitors, answers telephones, refers calls, schedules/coordinates appointments and meetings. Provides routine information on policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain accurate electronic and manual filing systems for department records.
Organize and expedite the flow of department communications. Prepares, transmits, and tracks routine correspondence. Reviews and responds to incoming communications. Screens, prioritizes, and performs follow up as required.
Assist staff with department specific projects and reporting requirements. Researches, collects, assembles, and/or monitors data and statistics, as required. Completes a variety of computer based tasks using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications.
Order and maintain supplies and office equipment, as required. Generates requisition documentation and tracks order completion.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Four (4) years administrative or secretarial experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Course work in secretarial sciences and personal computers
One (1) year in a medical setting with experience in medical terminology
