Providence Senior Finance Manager in Alaska
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Finance Manager. This role is currently working 100% remote. Post-Covid, this role will likely work part remote/part in office each week. This position is open to candidates residing in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon or California.
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager with deep analytical and business insights expertise to play an integral role driving financial impact across the organization. The System Financial Planning and Analysis team is the central hub of PSJH’s enterprise-wide FP&A processes and insights. This role will focus on thoroughly understanding of business drivers underlying financial results, while also relentlessly seeking to uncover value and driving impact. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to work through ambiguity, proactively solve problems, drive data-driven insights to inform decision making and resource allocation and importantly, influence business decision-making at the Executive Vice President level.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead the development of actionable insights and analyses in written, graphical, and verbal formats to inform and empower senior leadership across the organization.
Partner directly with one or two of our Executive Leaders (SVP, EVP) and their leadership teams (GVP, SVP) in managing their resources (EBIDA budgets of $50M to $250M).
Present executive quality financial and operational performance insights to leadership teams. This includes monitoring and analyzing business health, P&L trends and key drivers across the system, regions and lines of businesses.
Build a portfolio of analytical processes and deliverables aimed at proactively identifying and monitoring business risks and opportunities as well as value-creating business insights.
Deliver comprehensive P&L analysis, insights and forward-looking guidance to senior management, rating agencies, and the board of directors. This work directly impacts how stakeholders perceive the financial outlook for PJSH.G36.
Collaborate with analysts to build necessary data sets, visualizations and analyses to craft impactful stories to influence decisions across the health system.
Design and implement self-service business intelligence capabilities (i.e. Tableau and Power BI views) for the organization around financial and operating performance and drivers.
Contribute to the creation of FP&A best practices for planning, forecasting, and analytics.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
8 years of closely related finance experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related business field.
