Providence Health & Services Director, Growth Strategy in Alaska
Providence is calling a Director, Growth Strategy to one of our remote locations in WA, AK, MT, OR, CA, NM, or TX.
We are seeking a Director, Growth Strategy who will be responsible for providing program management, strategic project management, analysis, and strategic decision-making support to Providence’s Growth Council, senior executives and their functions. This position manages both direct and virtual teams from concept phase through transition to operations of large, complex, strategically-essential, high risk, cross-functional and cross-regional system initiatives and related projects. This position fills a key position as an analytic and strategic business partner to senior executives, flexibly responding to needs and enhancing the internal capability within the organization to develop and drive change.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead identification, implementation, and monitoring of strategic growth initiatives, priorities, and goals by working with Providence leaders in the development and documentation of charters, objectives and metrics, action plans, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, and monitoring systems
Oversee Sr. Manager and business leaders to drive development of senior executive chartered projects/initiatives from concept phase through transition to operations using combination of analytical, project management, change management, facilitation, and business management expertise. Ensures tracking of financial, human, and technical objectives for each project. Provides project status reporting to executive sponsor, initiative owner, project team, and other stakeholders as requested. Develops project-specific escalation and issue management protocols.
Lead strategic assessments and analysis. In partnership with lines of business and Council members/teams, support development of business cases and business plans for initiatives. Develops initiative-specific implementation plans and manages activities against the plans. Sets up and leads multi-disciplinary work teams. Ensures effective communication, training, and post-implementation support strategies are created and implemented among all stakeholder groups.
Lead change management and performance improvement tools. Builds awareness and commitment to the change effort, and leads the ongoing communications and alignment of stakeholders throughout the process. Conducts post-initiative assessments and makes recommendations for improvement based on those assessments.
Guide team to drive direct support for Providence Growth Council group through agenda planning, meeting facilitation, action-item tracking, analysis, communication documentation, and project management as assigned. Plans, leads, and facilitates management group meetings as requested.
Establish strategies for achieving individual or Consumer Council goals which balances big-picture concerns with day-to-day activities.
Create and maintain close relationships with Growth Council members, and be a trusted advisor in aligning and accelerating strategies across the enterprise.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Required BA/BS in a relevant field or equivalent.
5 years Management consulting experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree; MBA, MHA, or other related field.
2 years Private equity, venture capital, or other financial / investing experience.
