Providence Health & Services Occupational Therapist in Seward, Alaska
Providence is calling an Occupational Therapist (Occupational Therapy, Day Shift, 1 FTE) at the Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, Alaska.
Assesses, plans implements, and evaluates occupational therapy services within the guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Provides services to inpatients, outpatients, Home Health clients, long term care residents.
In this position you will:
Collaborate with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with medical center standards and guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapists Association in conjunction with regulatory requirements of both federal and state agencies.
Assess, evaluate and implement treatment according to professional standards.
Communicate with team members and outside agencies to identify patient needs and overall condition of patient; anticipates future levels of care.
Document all aspects of care and outcomes.
Plan for patient discharge with attention given to home programs, equipment arrangements, and patient/family education.
Provide patient and family education in a variety of physical settings.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Alaska
Must have a valid AK drivers license with current auto insurance and registration IAW state motor vehicle laws
Training in Basic Life Support
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years experience in subspecialty
