Providence Health & Services Transport Support Associate in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Transport Support Associate (Variable, 0.8FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
In this position you will:
Assist with patient/visitor transport via wheelchair throughout the PAMC campus ensuring high standards of customer service.
Responsible for driving patients and visitors across skywalk in cart as needed.
Maintain organization in lobbies, restocking magazines when necessary, and reporting any maintenance issues that are recognized.
Provide friendly, informative, and timely service at the information desk.
Be responsible for delivering newspapers, mail, emails, flowers and gifts to patient rooms.
Ensure patient satisfaction by listening to patients/families/visitors requesting information asking questions and solving problems.
Help maintain patient care equipment inventory in Transport Department.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school or vocational school graduate or equivalent
Experience with computers
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and health care personnel
Ability to read/comprehend all written or printed material
Flexibility in scheduled work hours to meet department needs
Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 6 months experience working in health care with patient contact and training in proper patient handling OR 1 year in a customer service position/field
